This county in Xuzhou, has once again gone viral, in the global “electric tricycles” scene. On April 21, an industry event themed, “Intelligence Converges in Fengxian, Electric Power Connects the World”, once again pushed Fengxian in Xuzhou, to the top of global trending topics, in the electric tricycle industry.
On April 21, the 16th Fengxian Electric Tricycles Exhibition officially opened. Covering an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, the event brought together around 1,000 companies and attracted buyers from more than 10 countries and regions.
A buyer from Poland spoke highly of a red electric tricycle on display, saying, “Its load capacity perfectly meets the needs of our farm.”
With the theme “Intelligence Converges in Fengxian, Electric Power Connects the World”, the grand event has once again made this small city in northern Jiangsu the global spotlight of the electric tricycle industry.

In 2001, Fengxian saw the birth of its first electric vehicle enterprise. 25 years later, the county is now home to more than 1,400 complete vehicle manufacturers and supporting enterprises, with the industry’s total output value exceeding 30 billion yuan and creating jobs for over 100,000 people.
In Changdian Town, the Aima Technology Group Co., Ltd. industrial park is set to begin operation soon, with an annual production capacity of 3 million vehicles. Within a radius of just over a dozen kilometers, key components such as motors, controllers, frames, and cargo compartments can all be sourced within a “half-hour procurement circle,” giving Fengxian a cost advantage that is difficult to replicate.
As new quality productive forces continue to drive development, traditional industries in Fengxian are being revitalized through technological innovation.
At the workshop of Xuzhou Nanpu Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd., one motor rolls off the production line every 12 seconds, with machining precision controlled within 0.04 millimeters. Its products are exported to countries including India, Sri Lanka, and South Korea. The company invests more than 8 million yuan annually in research and development and currently holds 114 patents.
Xuzhou Keya Electromechanical Co., Ltd. has attracted talent back from Shanghai to focus on the development of intelligent control systems for lightweight electric transport vehicles, while also taking a leading role in formulating national standards for the protection of rotating motors.
Inside the workshop of Jiangsu Zongshen Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd., robotic arms perform precise welding and painting operations, while Xuzhou Fengyi Electric Vehicle Parts Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Yanshan University, has launched an intelligent temperature-sensing seat.
At the “Leading the Future” exhibition zone, introduced for the first time at this year’s expo, 27 companies showcased cutting-edge products such as autonomous vehicles, steer-by-wire chassis systems, and intelligent sensing technologies, leaving visitors amazed: “Who knew electric tricycles could be this high-tech?
Overseas, the phrase “Caution, reversing” has become a popular internet meme, while Fengxian’s electric tricycles have long been making their way across the globe.
Tailoring to the needs of the Southeast Asian market, Xuzhou Neris New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has developed models featuring larger cargo space and stronger power, with vehicles loaded and shipped to ports on the very same day they roll off the line.
Jiangsu Hanbang Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. exported more than 10,000 electric vehicles of various types in 2025. In the first quarter of this year alone, exports have already exceeded 5,000 units, with the annual total expected to surpass 20,000 units.
At present, Fengxian’s electric vehicle products have been exported to more than 130 countries and regions, with the total export value exceeding 3 billion yuan. The county has actively organized local enterprises to participate in the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and electric vehicle exhibitions in multiple countries, while also hosting overseas expansion salons to provide guidance on TikTok operations, overseas warehouse planning, and other global market strategiess.
